We are now looking for a nurse for the neonatal clinic, which belongs to the children and youth care area at Helsingborg Hospital. With us, you will work together with a dedicated team of neonatologists/pediatricians, nurses, co-care nurses, nursing assistants, as well as paramedical and administrative staff.

With us, the child and family are always at the center. We work to provide safe care where the family can be involved and cared for together. Therefore, we have a close collaboration with both the delivery ward and the perinatal ward.

At the neonatal clinic, you will meet children and families who have recently been discharged from the neonatal unit but need continued follow-up. This may involve additional checks regarding neurological development, growth, or lung function. We also receive children who come on referral from health centers or BVC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role, you will work closely with our pediatricians and become an important part of ensuring that the clinic operations run smoothly. You will also be involved in developing new working methods and ensuring that the right equipment is in place, a chance to truly influence and improve our operations.

You will, among other things, perform sampling, measure and weigh children, conduct developmental assessments, and run your own nursing clinic. This makes the work both independent, varied, and developmental.

Since the clinic does not cover a full-time position, you will also work a couple of shifts in the neonatal unit. When the clinic is closed during certain summer weeks, you will be part of the staffing there. This means that you will broaden your competence and be part of our entire neonatal operation, something many find both educational and rewarding.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. We would like you to have specialist training as a nurse in pediatric and adolescent care, intensive care, and/or be a trained district nurse. It is an advantage if you have previously worked in neonatal care.
